Trans-loading

The Wilmington site has two rail spurs, with a combined capacity of simultaneously handling 8 railcars. Both spurs are jointly served by the BN-SF and UP-SP, and plenty of empty railcars are across the street at the Pacific Harbor Line yard. A battery powered car mover is used on site to position cars for optimal loading or unloading, including glass cullet into covered hoppers.

The southern portion of our Wilmington property is located on port property. The trans-loading operations are very close to the border of the port of LA and Long Beach, and as such we have quick access to all terminals at both ports.

There are two 70’ in ground truck scales to service inbound vehicles, and another three 70’ in ground truck scales on site for other activities. Our loading docks are covered, and dedicated covered storage space is utilized for trans-loading bales of recyclable materials.
